Houseboat – ‘DEHLI’ LMS STATION BOAT TUG – UK

Description

Built in 1930 by Yarwoods of Northwich, Dehli was the subject of a full restoration by the Warwickshire Fly Boat Company and engineer owner

Specification –

60′ x 6’10” – Go anywhere (the boat has spent the last year at Llangollen)

Typical Yarwoods fine lines allow the boat to swim really well and it always draws attention wherever it goes.

6 berths with double under the tug deck

Fixed double bedroom

Cross-bed in traditional ‘boatman’s’ cabin

Engine – Lister JP2 / Blackstone box, 2-1 reduction, arguably the best vintage narrowboat engine, hand-start but also converted to electric start, with closed circuit cooling through calorifier. The fantastic sounding engine was zero-timed by my late uncle, a retired Lister engineer, using original new-old-stock parts sourced from around the world

Crowther propeller with weed cutter

Hull – new bottom, footings, swim, stern, decks and cabin (no over-plating), all work carried out by Graham Pearce of Warwickshire Fly Boat Company. All new woodwork by ‘Reg’, also at WFBC, in light ash, planked roof (no MDF!), three Houdini hatches and portholes make for a light and airy feel throughout

Traditional boatman’s cabin with ‘scumbling’, ‘roses and castles’ and other period LMS features

Heating and Equipment – Hot water by calorifier or shore power, radiators are diesel-fired by Erberspacher in engine room, coal-fired range in the back cabin and Kuranda ‘Old Dutch’ oil-fired heater in the saloon

Sterling inverter servicing battery bank (x5)

New BSC

For sale with a very heavy heart – this is a true enthusiasts boat, restored to a very high standard. Plenty of vintage charm (Historic Narrowboat Club member), but will all the mod-cons for the 21st century

I have over £125,000 and 5 years of my life invested in Dehli, hence the very reluctant sale at £85,000 firm

Moored at Lymm, Cheshire. Viewings welcome by appointment.

Catamaran – Lagoon 37

The current owners are the third owners of the Lagoon 37  and have had the boat for 10 years. They have cruised the Caribbean and US east coast before crossing the Atlantic in 2013 via Bermuda and the Azores. They have spend the last 4 years on the west coast of Spain and Portugal and across the Mediterranean.

Description
The Lagoon 37 is the much sort after 4 double cabin version. It has heads and shower in each hull with the galley up on bridge deck level to the port side if the u-shaped saloon. The cockpit has a rigid bimini top with drop down shade panels at sides and stern. The tender/dinghy is on davits for easy storage and raising and lowering.

Also included is a 4 stroke petrol generator/ inverter producing quiet 12v / 110v power for backup power.

The galley was recently refurbished.

The starboard engine was rebuilt professionally in November 2017 and the port engine replaced in 2013.
